The Pacifica Christian Cross Country team had a tremendous season last fall of 2022 and they are back for summer training before the season starts on August 1st, 2023. Last year, there were 14 members that made up the team. Both the boys' and girls' teams qualified for CIF prelims, and the girls made it to the first round of CIF. 

Lately, the team has been practicing together on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings every week to get in shape for the upcoming season. The squad travels all around Orange County to different parks and places to run, including Fairview, Back Bay, and Crystal Cove. The team has especially grown this year, with 13 girls and 10 boys. So far they have had one race: Pirate Race at Bolsa Chica Beach on June 17th for extra preparation. They will be having two more races this summer as well.

Head Coach Josh Espinoza along with assistant coach Neil Massaro, are looking forward to the cross country season with the new and old talent that the team has equipped. The team is very excited for their upcoming trip to Arizona in August where they will be training every day while bonding over many games and meals together. We are excited to see what is in store for the upcoming fall season!
