Pacifica Christian Sweeps Southlands Christian
The Pacifica Christian girls volleyball team came out in commanding fashion Thursday evening, defeating the Southlands Christian Eagles 3-0 at home. It had been two weeks since the Orange and Navy had played a game and they came back strong and ready to go. The Tritons showcased balance across the court, taking the sets 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 to secure the sweep in their first league meeting with the Eagles of the season.
Sophia Bone led the attack with nine kills, while Emma Hartman added seven kills to keep the offense rolling. Setter Addie Roberson directed the offense with precision, dishing out 18 assists.
Defensively, the Tritons dug deep to keep rallies alive. Charlotte Booth anchored the back row with 17 digs, while Emery Pelinka chipped in 13 digs of her own. At the net, Ella Hogan provided a spark with two solo blocks, slowing down the Eagles' attack.
The win marks a strong start to league play for the Tritons, who will look to build on this momentum as the season progresses. They are now 2-0 in the San Joaquin League and 10-5 overall. They will be back at it tomorrow night as they host Pacifica Christian Santa Monica at 5:45pm.
