Pacifica Christian Welcomes Madison Haugh as New Head Coach for Girls Beach and Indoor Volleyball
Newport Beach, CA – April 6, 2025 – Pacifica Christian High School is excited to announce the hiring of Madison Haugh as the new Head Coach for Girls Beach and Indoor Volleyball. A Coastal Orange County native, Haugh brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience and a deep passion for mentorship and faith-based leadership.
Haugh grew up in Fountain Valley, CA, where she was a two-sport standout at Fountain Valley High School. She competed in varsity track and field for four years, helping lead her team to two Sunset League Championships. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she excelled academically, earning a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years and graduating with a Gold Cord for academic excellence.
After high school, Haugh had multiple opportunities to compete at the collegiate level and chose to play volleyball at Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. As a three-year starter for the Royals, she played a pivotal role in the team’s best season in five years, helping them secure an 11-13 record in her final season.
Beyond her collegiate career, Haugh has built an impressive coaching résumé, most recently serving as a Club Coach at Cut Shot Volleyball Club in Fountain Valley—one of the fastest-growing volleyball programs in Coastal Orange County. She has coached at various levels, including:
-
15-1s Club Team Head Coach
-
12s Developmental Team Head Coach
-
14-1s Club Team Head Coach (previous season)
-
14-Developmental Team Coach
-
7th and 8th Grade Boys & Girls Coach at Huntington Christian School
In addition to coaching, Haugh has contributed to the marketing and promotion of Cut Shot Volleyball Club, designing flyers, and advertisements, and running their digital outreach.
Haugh’s dedication extends beyond the court. She has been actively involved in Mariners Church, where she has volunteered in Sunday school and worship leadership for elementary-aged children. Her faith and commitment to mentorship will be key in shaping the Triton volleyball program both on and off the court.
Brandon Gonzalez, Pacifica Christian’s Director of Athletics & Student Life, expressed his enthusiasm for Haugh’s arrival: "We are thrilled to welcome Coach Haugh to the Pacifica Christian family. Her experience, leadership, and energy will be instrumental in building a competitive and positive volleyball culture for both our indoor and beach programs."
Haugh is eager to begin her new role, stating: "I am so grateful to be here and a part of the Triton community. I look forward to building this program, developing these young ladies’ confidence and love for the game, and, even more importantly, helping them grow in their spiritual walks and journeys as young believers."
