Girls Tennis returns to the courts this week as they kick off their 2024-2025 season on the road against Oxford Academy. Entering their fifth year, the teams are ready for another exciting and competitive season. The Tritons are back-to-back San Joaquin League Champions, after clinching the league title in 2022 and 2023. Head Coach John Staph returns for his second year at the helm after leading the Orange and Navy to an impressive 13-2 and 10-0 record in the last season. The newly added assistant coaches Grace Gorges, Jennifer Jolin, and Zoe Beltran are beside him.

The Tritons graduated nine seniors last year and will carry 16 players on the varsity squad for the 2024-2025 season. Players to watch include Senior Captain Ella Evans (C) and Junior Kamryn Giunta. Ella Evans returns to the court for her senior season and is ready to lead the Tritons. Evans brings lots of talent and skill to the court, as well as plenty of leadership and experience to the program. Kamryn enters her third year as a starter on the varsity tennis team. Giunta has been a consistent player for the Tritons and was awarded all-league honors the last two years. Other seniors on the squad are Sara Read (C), Lila Gesuela, Andi Duffy, Sophia Cowell, Sienna Sedillos, Grace Pedranti, and Athena Struppa. The junior class consists of Ali and Ava Hudy, Tess Prichard, Bea Jeremias, Charlie Rogers, Emily Clements, and London Willhoit. 

All home games will be played at OCC. The Orange and Navy will compete in the San Joaquin League this year against TVT, CVCS, Webb, Fairmont Prep, and Western Christian. Senior Day will be on October 21st vs Western Christian. League Individual Prelims will be held on Monday, October 28th at OCC, and League Individual Finals will be on Wednesday, October 30th at Webb.  CIF Divisional Rankings will be released at the end of the season based on the 2024-2025 performance per the new system.
