Senior Girls's Golfer Sam Davidson advanced to the CIF SS Individual Regionals for the second straight year after being the first girl golfer in school history to make it this far last season. After two rounds of 18 holes at El Dorado Golf Course and Skylinks Golf Course, Sam finished in the top nine out of a field of 20 in the San Joaquin League Preliminaries to advance to the CIF Individual Regional Finals.

During the final round yesterday at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach, she tied for the final spot to advance to the CIF, necessitating a three-way playoff. With the last spot on the line and tensions high Davidson remained calm and composed on the tee. On her first playoff hole on the par 4, Sam's tee shot found the fairway setting up a green in regulation and a two-putt par. Both her opponents put up a bogey on the hole, sending Sam into the next round. 

Sam will compete on Monday, October 23 at Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
