Bio

Pablo enters his third year in charge of the Pacifica Christian Girls Basketball Program. In his first year, Pablo helped lead the Lady Tritons to a 17-11 overall record and another postseason appearance, competing in the CIF-SS 2AA playoffs, the highest division of any Pacifica Christian Varsity program. 

Pablo comes to Pacifica Christian with over 15 years of girls' high school and women's college coaching experience. Pablo first started coaching at Magnolia High School, where he was an Assistant Coach coaching both Boys & Girls between 2005-2010. He coached the Girl's program to five consecutive Orange League Championships, a CIF-SS Runner-Up in 2006, and a CIF State Runner-Up in 2007. From there, Pablo made his way to the college ranks, becoming the head assistant coach at Long Beach City College for the women's program, working and coaching under legendary coach Mike Anderson. While at Long Beach City College, he helped the program set a new school record in single-season wins (26), as well as helped guide the 2013-2014 team to a South Coast Conference Championship, and an appearance in the California State Juco Elite 8 Tournament.

Most recently, Pablo was the Head Women's Varsity Coach at Santiago High School in Garden Grove. Pablo took over a program that went 13-37 in league, and 29-79 overall the five years prior to his arrival. While at Santiago, Pablo helped guide the Girls Program to 4 consecutive Garden Grove League Championships, four straight CIF-SS post-season appearances, and one CIF-SS Quarterfinal. Pablo was also the Garden Grove League Coach of the Year Award for three consecutive years. During his five years at Santiago, Pablo accumulated an 83-44 overall record and a 39-1 league record.

Growing up in Southern California, Pablo graduated from Santiago High School in Garden Grove. He went played for two years at Santa Ana City College before transferring to Pensacola Christian College in Florida. After a year at Pensacola Christian, Pablo returned to the West Coast, transferring to La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. After college, Pablo spent four seasons playing professional basketball in Mexico before returning to Southern California to pursue coaching and working in education. Pablo has been married to his wife Jasmine for 19 years, and they have four children; three girls and one boy. His oldest daughter, Andi, graduated from Pacifica Christian in 2023 and is now playing college basketball at Chapman University. His other daughter Angie will be a Junior at Pacifica Christian, and his son, Adrian, is 14. Their newest daughter and addition to the family is almost 3 years old.
