Pacifica Christian Girls Basketball Caps Memorable 2025–26 Season

The Pacifica Christian girls basketball team put together a memorable and momentum-filled 2025–26 campaign, finishing with a 17–11 overall record and positioning itself for a postseason run as CIF playoffs approach.

Despite not competing in a league this season, the Tritons challenged themselves with a demanding schedule and delivered consistent results. Their resilience was on full display during an impressive 11-game winning streak that spanned from December 22 to January 20, a stretch that defined the heart of their season and showcased the team's chemistry and growth.

Pacifica Christian also made its mark in high-profile tournaments. The Tritons went 3–1 at the prestigious Tarkanian Classic, earning wins against strong competition and proving they could compete on a bigger stage. They followed that up by capturing the Whittier Tournament championship, adding hardware to an already successful winter and further validating their depth and discipline.

Leading the way was senior guard Vivian Villagrana, who capped off a historic season by reaching 1,000 career points on December 12. Villagrana became just the second player in program history to reach the milestone, a testament to her consistency, scoring ability, and leadership over four seasons. She finished the year as the team's leading scorer and remained a steady presence in key moments throughout the schedule. Fellow seniors Kassandra Aguiniga and Angie Martinez also played pivotal roles in the Tritons' success. Their experience and poise were especially evident during the Tritons' midseason surge and tournament play.

As the regular season concludes, Pacifica Christian now turns its attention to the CIF playoffs. The Tritons' CIF bracket will be released Saturday at noon, with the first round scheduled for February 12. Pacifica Christian is anticipated to be placed in either Division 2 or Division 3, where they will look to carry their momentum into postseason play. With a balanced roster, proven leadership, and confidence built from a strong non-league schedule, the Tritons enter CIF competition as a team capable of making noise.
