On Monday evening, the Tritons took on the Division 3 #6 Laguna Beach High School, where they snagged a 3-2 win over the Breakers. Pacifica Christian landed number five in the Division 4 polls this week, according to CIF-SS.

The two squads fought for the lead back and forth through the first three sets. The Tritons secured the first set in a heated 26-24 win, but Laguna redeemed themselves with a 25-23 win during the second set. The Breakers built on their momentum and earned the third set 25-22. Pacifica Christian rallied in the fourth set and tied the overall score with a nine-point win to push the match into the fifth set. In the final set of the evening, the Tritons fought hard to take the lead and won the match with a block from senior duo Buzz Hodson and Briton Proctor.

Proctor earns MVP of the solid win for the Tritons, as led the squad with a .750 hitting percentage. Dan Demars also had a great night on the court, where he racked up 16 digs.
