Boys Soccer returns to the field this week as they kicked off their 2024-2025 season on the road against Ontario Christian. Entering their seventh year, the Tritons are ready for another exciting and competitive season. Entering his third season as Head Coach, Johnny Marmelstein is excited to get back out onto the field and compete with his team. Returning for his fourth year on the coaching staff, Class of 2020 Alumni Matt Samson will be the Head Coach of the JV in its founding season. New to the coaching staff this season is Jordan Louis Martinez who is a goalkeeper and assistant coach for the Tritons. 

The Tritons remain a young team, with only four seniors and three juniors in the program. The Orange and Navy have a very large sophomore class which makes up the majority of the team. Players to watch this season include Senior Reed Cleary and Sophomore Dylan Streiff. Reed brings strength and stability to the midfield and as a leader for the Tritons, he distribues the ball well, always looking for the extra pass. Streiff returns for his sophomore season after being awarded First Team All-League last season. He was one of the leading goal scores for the team last year and will continue to be a goal scorer for the team this year.  

Other seniors on the team include Abraham Abbasi, Owen MacPherson, and Devin Wang. The junior class consists of Aiden Lynch, Wyatt Swick, and Christian Batley. The large sophomore class all being returners from last season includes Cruz Alarcon, Jacob Attwater, Jordan Balbuena, Carlos Barge, Jordan Jordanides, John Peterson, Shaun Sandhu, and Colton Smith. Kasper Batley is the sole freshman on the squad. 

All home games will be played at Vanguard University The Orange and Navy will compete in the Academy League against Avalon, Legacy College Prep, Magnolia Science Academy, San Gabriel Academy, and TVT. CIF Divisional Rankings will be released at the end of the season based on the 2024-2025 performance per the new system.
