Bio
Michael grew up in Tampa, Florida where he raced BMX for 14 years. As he entered high school, basketball, and track and field took over as the main sports. While Michael wanted to play basketball in college, High Jump and the 400 paid his way through college at Liberty University (where he met his wife who played volleyball there). He won the Big South conference four years straight jumping just over 7 feet. After college, Michael began a career in youth ministry which allowed him to start coaching at the high school level for both Basketball and Track.
Michael moved his family from South Florida to California in 2010 to start a summer camp and eventually led them to Southern California and Pacifica. He is entering his sixth season coaching. Michael helped launch the junior varsity program six years ago as well as the freshman program and is currently the head coach for the Freshman team.
He has been married to his wife since 2000 and has two amazing boys. His son Caeden is headed to Liberty following his footsteps and High Jumping for the track team. His son Owen will be a senior at Pacifica looking to play college basketball.
