Bio

Coach Kurz attended the University of Tennessee where he received a degree in Psychology.  It was there that he was able to obtain vital coaching knowledge and tutelage under the guidance of the late great Pat Summit as he served as an assistant to the Lady Vols Basketball Program.  It was not long after he returned to California that his coaching fire was lit as he became an assistant coach at El Modena High School under Coach Berokoff.  

Joe has continued to assist Coach Berokoff as he is now entering his 14th year as his assistant and his seventh at Pacifica Christian. In his spare time, Coach Joe freelances as a corner man for an underground “people’s champion” in the fighting style of Muay Thai.
