Boys Basketball Takes Down King Drew in the Second Round of State

The Pacifica Christian Tritons are on their way to round three of state playoffs after defeating King Drew High School 48-38. The boys will now travel to take on Oxnard High School this Saturday at 7:00 pm. 

The Tritons ended the first quarter tied 12-12 but were able to gain momentum after sophomore Logan Stewart drained two free throws putting the squad up 14-13. By halftime, the Orange and Navy were up 26-21, after successfully defending the Eagles. Pacifica carried their momentum throughout the third and fourth quarter ending the game with a win (48-38). 

The team's success was led by three notable players; Logan Stewart had 14 points, shooting 100% from the FT line. Alex Stewart had nine, and Parker Strauss with seven points.

The Oxnard Yellowjackets currently have a record of 31-3, and went 14-0 in the Channel League. They are also ranked #27 overall in California. 

Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm at Oxnard High School on Saturday, March 4th.
