Boys Beach Volleyball Fall to Corona Del Mar in OCBVL 1st Round
Written by Class of 2025 Taylor Zeulner - Athletic Prefect
Pacifica ChristianVarsity Boys Beach Volleyball team played its Orange County Beach Volleyball League first-round match-up yesterday when they traveled to #6 seed Corona Del Mar High School. Over the past eight years, Pacifica Christian and Corona Del Mar have only played once and lost 4-3 in the 2021-22 season. This fall marks the eighth consecutive post-season Boys Beach Volleyball program appearance. Big wins this year were against Servite and California High School which were both 7-0 sweeps.
The Tritons got off to a quick start, jumping ahead 2-0 with our 5s and 3s teams getting the win. However, it would be a 3–0 run by the Seakings heading into the 4-man match, and the Tritons down 2-3. The 4 man match proved to be the highlight of the day. A winner move on match, the Orange and Navy took and early lead before the Seakings went on a 6-2 run to close out the match 22-28 and ultimately win the day 2-5.
"The boys players very well," said Head Coach Evan Fredericks. "It has been a great season and I look forward to building and getting to work this off-season for our upcoming indoor season."
