Pacifica Christian High School Athletics

Pacifica Boys Sand has Bright Future

Pacifica Christian High School of Newport Beach is a 2nd year school, with no football program, and just under 100 students. On paper you would see a small school, with a low student body, and assume a small athletic department. Well, two of the three are true. Pacifica Christian's athletic programs are not what you would expect from a 2nd year school. Pacifica Christian currently has 10 high school programs competing at the Varsity Level, one of those programs being its Boys Beach Volleyball Program. Lead by former Newport Harbor graduate, UCLA All- American, and AVP professional Jennie Griffith, Pacifica's Boys Sand Volleyball program has a bright future. Anchored by 6'9 Junior Josh Griffith, (Jenny's son) 6'3 sophomore Isaiah Seward, and 6'3 freshmen Joshua Sims, the Pacifica Boys Beach program is ready for the upcoming season. They will be competing in the Orange County Volleyball Beach League, going head to head against schools like Newport Harbor, Mater Dei, Edison, and Laguna Beach to name a few. Their first Home match is this is coming Wednesday, September 28th, against the Griffin's of Los Alamitos High School. Coach Jenny is excited for the upcoming match, as the Beach Program has been practicing since August 8th. " You can tell they are anxious for competition, they have been practicing for over a month, partners have been made, and they are ready to get out on the sand and show what they can do" said Jenny Griffith.
