Midway Through Spring Season Update
As spring sports have officially reached the halfway point in the season, here is a brief update of what is going on across all six different sports so far!
Baseball: The Triton Baseball team is currently 11-3, 9-1 in the San Joaquin League. The team has been dominant at the plate this year, scoring 137 runs and 118 hits across 14 games. For the fourth week in a row, the Orange and Navy are ranked number one in Division 8 and have proven to be a force in the San Joaquin League. Sophomore Reed Fry leads the team at the plate batting .474 with 18 hits, and 17 RBIs. Sophomore Johnny Coopman has pitched five games recording 27 strikeouts on the mound as well as 15 RBIs at the plate. The Tritons have seven games remaining, four league and three nonleague.

Boys Golf: Boys Golf has been off to a hot start this season, as they set a new record for the lowest team score in program history (+14) at Costa Mesa Country Club against Calvary Chapel. The Tritons are currently 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the Academy League with wins over TVT and CVCS. Sophomore Matthew Hull leads the Tritons as he has recorded six rounds under par and is combined for four under par through 12 matches. The Orange and Navy have eight matches remaining, all league matches.
Senior Day: Thursday, April 18 at 3:30 pm at Costa Mesa Country Club.
Boys Tennis: Launched this year, the Triton Tennis team is 2-3 in the league with both wins coming against TVT. In their second match of the season, Senior Riley Cardiff recorded his first-ever golden set winning every single point, a very difficult thing to accomplish in tennis! The Tritons have one match remaining on April 11 against Fairmont Prep at home.

Girls Beach: Girls Beach Volleyball is currently 6-3 on the year and 3-2 in league play. The Tritons have beaten Fountain Valley, Orangewood Academy, Sage Hill, and TVT two times. The Orange and Navy are led by Senior Colleen O'Callaghan, as well as Juniors Chara Wondercheck and Charlotte Carlson. They have two matches remaining, against Esperanza and Waldorf.
Senior Day: Friday, April 12 at 3:00 pm at Newland.
Track and Field: The track and field team is off and running with over 40 athletes between the two teams. At the first league cluster on March 12, there were 31 personal bests recorded, as well as two school records broken. Senior Aiden Hart ran 23.50 in the 200m and Peter Cao won his race, running 2:08.60 in the 800m breaking a two-year-old school record! They still have four events left before the post-season races start.
Boys Volleyball: The Triton Volleyball team is currently 7-7 at the midway point in the year. Junior Hudson Reynolds leads the team in kills per set, and aces, and has recorded 107 kills. Senior Callen Bray has dished out 132 assists and sophomore Grayson Baker has 17 blocks up on the net. The Tritons have seven games remaining, five of those being league games.
